Off to Florida

Tomorrow, we head off to Florida. It will be a looong plane ride with Miran, but I'm sure it's well worth it. We plan to hit lots of theme parks, go to the Everglades, and relax with family. Omair's cousin lives in Florida, so we will be staying with him. Some relatives from Pakistan are also coming, so it will be a full house!

Yesterday, Ariana went to her first Bar Mitsvah!! It was huge-- photo booths, shushi bars, dancing and much more. All of her friends from school were there, and they had a blast. Ju-ean curled and styled her hair. It was a night to remember!

A day in the life of the Rahim family...

Today was the second day of summer for Shanti and Ariana, and what did we do? We cleaned out the garage. What a great kickstart to 2 months of vacation! Well, we did have a little fun when we went to the waterpark on Friday. ;-)

Highlights of the day:

• Finding a black widow in the dark corners of our garage
• Dealing with one of Miran's terrible two tantrums
• Planning a fabulous mural in the childrens' department of the library with RB High's AP art students
• Eating pizza for dinner!
